"A word of useless wisdom...... from a very intelligent man." -Thanks Rich

"In response to your question as to how I knew the name of that song, it was actually remade in a kind of hip-hop version by someone here in last few years. But, it was actually first recorded by Herbie Hancock on June 17, 1964. I have what is essentially his greatest hits CD. "The Blue Note Years: The Best of Herbie Hancock." It was released on CD in 1988. The original is actually "Cantaloupe Island". It was recorded in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey on the above date and originally released on his album "Empyrean Isles."

Herbie Hancock--Piano
Freddie Hubbard--Trumpet
Ron Carter--Bass
Tony Williams--Drums

You never know what you might learn....."
