TEAM POLICIES

Leadership: Special Sauce is led by a volunteer core of individuals.
The following people have volunteered for the 2002-2003 season:

Coaches:   Beth & Mary          Captains :   Tammy, Nancy & Marti
Treasurer- Marti                        Practice Coordinator - Janine & Laura                          Communication - Melissa

Practice: Prepare yourself to come to practice with intensity, focus,
open-mindedness, and a positive attitude.
Practice always begins with two warm-up laps and a team stretch.
Be responsible for running your two warm-up laps and stretching
before participating. Players are encouraged to participate to
the best of their abilities during all phases of practice.

Absences: If you are not going to be at practice, please let someone
know so we can plan adequately or cancel practice if need be.

Tournament Expectations: Players are expected to arrive at the playing
field one hour in advance of game time and be ready 45 minutes prior to
playing time to warm-up and drill. Players who are late should take time
for stretching, running and throwing to prevent injury to themselves and
to improve their performance when they do take the field.

Pick-up Players: Pick-up players are defined as players
who do not regularly practice or play with Sauce.
Priority playing time will be given to core
members of Special Sauce. Pick-up players will be apprised
of team philosophies, policies and leadership structure by the
contact person or a member of the coaching
staff before they play with Special Sauce.
  If  14 core members
of Special Sauce have committed to a tournament, the team will vote
as to whether or not to pick up players.

Communication: Notification of changes to practice times or locations,
tournament information or other Special Sauce functions will be given by the
posted or emailed as soon as possible.
